Kelson Group is proud to continue supporting the Kamloops Daybreak Rotary Ribfest as a ‘Full Rack Sponsor’ for this year’s event, scheduled from August 9^th to August 11^th at Riverside Park. This annual festival, presented by Funktional Electric and Locates Unlimited, promises three days of family fun with free live entertainment, food vendors, and, of course, award-winning ribs.

“For those who may be new to town, Ribfest is a signature summer event where over 80,000 people attend. The three-day festival features live music from 11 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., six professional ribbers, ten local food vendors, a massive Family Fun Zone and Kamloops largest beverage garden,” explained Danica Wilkinson, Chairperson of the event. “The Daybreak Rotary club raises money for local charities and organizations through this event.”

More than just a festival, Ribfest is a cornerstone of community support, with 100% of its profits going back to the community and directly benefiting local charities, with a focus on youth and seniors’ programs.

Since the event’s inception in 2012, Kelson Group has proudly supported Kamloops Ribfest, aligning with its commitment to give back to the community.

“Kelson Group’s financial contribution to our event helps us create a safe, family-friendly event where Rotary can raise money for local charities and organizations. The impact from supporters like them has helped raise over $850,000 since year one,” said Wilkinson.

This year, Kamloops Ribfest is excited to have a double feature on Sunday starting at 4:30 p.m. with Mirage, a Santana Tribute, followed by Mary Jane’s Last Dance at 8 p.m., a Tom Petty Tribute.

“Another new item this year’s event is the 50/50 raffle, with a grand jackpot of $240,000,” added Wilkinson.
