If you stop by our Forest Glen Apartments, you’ll notice something sharp and new—a fresh coat of paint has completely transformed the property! The once muted greige exterior has been revitalized with a polished shade of Light Mist, creating a modern look that ties in beautifully with the newer buildings in the Foothills Community next door. 

“The exterior makeover of Forest Glen has given an already great property a fresh, modern look that connects with the surrounding buildings, creating a real sense of community on Glen Shee,” shares building manager, Cheryl Lewis. 

Originally, the buildings featured a one-dimensional, monochromatic greige—not quite gray, not quite beige—lacking definition for window trims, roof lines, decks, or stucco siding. We decided it was time to uplift their spirits to match their neighbouring sister buildings! 

Here’s how the makeover came together: 

• Windows were replaced in 2023, and trims were painted Iron Gray to add depth. 

• In 2024, the stucco siding now boasts a fresh coat of Light Mist for a clean, polished base. 

• Decks have been defined with Boothbay Blue, adding a subtle pop of color. 

• For a sweet finishing touch, exterior entries were painted Sherwin Williams’ Baked Cookie- a warm, inviting orange hue that complements the timber details of the surrounding new buildings. 

In addition to the exterior facelift, our team worked diligently to clean out the kitchen and dryer vents. It’s a timely task, but one our residents appreciate! Cleaner vents mean better air quality, improved dryer performance, and a reduced risk of build up -keeping the building safe, efficient, and worry-free as we embrace the new year.
