There’s always something exciting about the new year. As we welcome in 2024, this year is a significant milestone for our company, marking the 50^th anniversary of Kelson Group.

Back in 1974, our founder, Ron Fawcett, purchased our family’s very first apartment building in Kamloops, B.C. In the five decades since, we have grown our portfolio of apartment buildings from one community to now 10 cities throughout B.C. and Alberta. We’ve been able to provide stable and good paying jobs for many hard-working building managers, maintenance team members, cleaners, contractors, and administration staff, which has been very rewarding for our team.

What has made this journey so satisfying for our team are the homes we have had the honour of providing for thousands of families these past 50 years. We have had students move into their first apartment away from home to attend post- secondary school. We have welcomed young families just getting started on their journey prior to buying their first home. We have helped people from all over the world who have moved to Canada to start a new life and find a place to call home. As well, we have welcomed seniors who have decided to downsize and live in a safe, accessible, and welcoming community. We have provided homes for people from all walks of life, with varied experiences and different dreams for their future, who all have one thing in common; the desire to have a place to call home.

Over the next 12 months, our team at Kelson Group is looking forward to celebrating with our employees, our residents, and in our communities. We are thankful for the opportunity to have been part of so many people’s lives, and we look forward to what the next 50 years will bring for our family-owned and operated business as we work to provide apartments to help you live better.
