KAMLOOPS, B.C.: Rockcliffe at TRU is a new 40-suite condominium development by Kelson Group located on the beautiful Thompson Rivers University (TRU) Campus as a part of The Reach neighbourhood. Condo suites are still under construction with occupancy expected for late June 2021, but that did not stop the development from selling 95 per cent of its suites on the first day of sales.

"To say we are thrilled is an understatement," said Jason Fawcett, President of Kelson Group. "This is the first development our company has built where we have sold units. Typically, in our company's history we have built, kept the building under our ownership, and rented out apartments across 10 cities throughout B.C. and Alberta. We feel fortunate we have been able to take on this project, launch sales for Rockcliffe at TRU, and had such a positive response."

The mix of residential units for Rockcliffe at TRU range from studio units to 2-bedroom units and prices start at $199,900 up to $569,900, depending on the suite's location and size. The real estate market has been especially busy right now, something Rockcliffe at TRU's REALTOR® Brendan Shaw has been seeing for a few months.

"The marketing team working on this project and I were pleased to see how many people had registered to join the VIP mailing list for Rockcliffe at TRU, and when we settled on plans to launch our sales starting April 10, we were hopeful to see 25 per cent of the units sell out over the weekend," said Shaw. "We had over 80 people join the VIP list and had to start a waitlist. We started sales at 9am on Saturday, April 10, and by 6pm that evening, 95 per cent of the units were spoken for."

Shaw shares that many of the people purchasing are locals, while investors and those interested in making their move to the city from larger city centres were also purchasers.

Also pleased with the interest in the development is TRU's President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Brett Fairbairn.
