Kelson Group Presenting Sponsor of For the People – A Cultural Experience
A unique concert experience bringing the voices and artistry of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together is coming to Kamloops. The event is called For the People – A Cultural Experience and Kelson Group is proud to be the presenting sponsor.
Margit Sky Project’s members, Margit Gossage and Rod Bandura, hosted a press conference in early July to announce the concert event set to play the Sagebrush Theatre in Kamloops for one night only on August 14. The vision of the event is to bring together Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to share culture, music, and stories, and to bring harmony and reconciliation to community. Show goers will enjoy original music written and performed by Rod and Margit with their band of six, as well as members of the Kamloops Symphony, and performers from Sage Hills Drummers and Dancers.
“Our company is pleased to sponsor this remarkable event,” noted Ron Fawcett, Founder and Executive Director of Kelson Group. “We appreciate how the arts, in all forms, can be transformative and can tie a community together. Becoming the presenting sponsor for this cultural event is a true joy for our company. Like many others, we cannot wait to attend the show this August.”
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the show and tickets are $49.00 (including taxes and fees) on sale now through Kamloops LIVE! Box Office. Not only is the event aimed at bringing together the community, something Kelson Group greatly values, but part of the proceeds of the event will go toward supporting the work by the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
