After years of planning, Curlew Apartments in Kamloops, BC, has finally received its much-anticipated renovation—and it’s nothing short of refreshing! We took a moment to speak with Building Manager Rob McCauley and some residents to hear their thoughts on the updates.

"The interior really caught me off guard—it was unexpected," McCauley shared, reflecting on the feedback from a prospective tenant.

Previously, the building’s carpets were showing significant wear, even becoming a tripping hazard. The decision was made to replace them with stylish, durable carpet tiles that make cleaning and future repairs a breeze.

Historically, the darker flooring colors helped handle Kamloops’ tough winters, but they clashed with the building’s gold trim and overall color scheme. This led to a more extensive upgrade, with Curlew Apartments receiving a fresh coat of Gauntlet Grey on the trim and doors. The new color beautifully complements the building’s features, softening the previous yellow tones and creating a cohesive, modern look.

"This is a fantastic facelift for what is truly a unique and solid gem of a complex," McCauley added.

The renovations not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also improve the quality of living for residents, ensuring they live better.
